I have this problem. No matter how I sleep, I'll wake up and something will hurt, my sides or my shoulders. I have to turn over like 100 times a night. Its horrible...
And I hear it gets worse:( I'm 19 weeks.

I sleep like so much better when my husband sleeps on the couch...haha. And actually he does too cause I wake him up everytime I wake up and something hurts ya know. So I wake him up less that way! :) lol.

I sadly need 6-7 pillows to get any sleep at all, and yes it is still uncomfortable. I have a body pillow on each side of meto support lower back and sides, 2 smaller pillows on top of that for my arms and upper sides, and 2-3 really mushy pillows behind my back and head so I am lying in a reclined position. I only sleep for 2 hours at a time. But it will pass once that little bundle of joy comes, well at least the uncomfortable part. Good luck!

You can sleep in whatever position makes you most comfortable. Of course there are always things that are said to be "best" for the baby, but you need to get adequate rest as that is best for your baby, and you are not by any means going to harm your baby by sleeping in a certian position. You are only going to get more uncomfortable while you get further into your pregnancy so sleep how ever you feel comfortable now. A pillow between your legs works great for relieving some lower back pain as well. Good Luck!

I started being unable to sleep in bed when I was about 20 weeks. Now, I sleep in a recliner and now I only wake up when I have to go to the bathroom.

For most people this is a normal pregnancy thing. Try a body pillow that seemed to help me. I actually slept on the couch my whole pregnancy because I was more comfortable.

My last child I couldn't sleep at all and he was up all night for two months. I think your body is getting ready for an all nighter kid. Hang in there it will pass. Have you tried extra pillows?

all i can say is body pillow....but other than that it's normal....think of it as a preparation to not getting much sleep because you have a newborn....
