My knees make an awful noise when I walk up stairs,?
It kinda sounds like grinding but more like snapping. It doesn't hurt, but I bet it will someday if I don't do anything about it. I don't go to the doctor for things that are not an emergency, I prefer the naturopath. But until I have the cash, does anyone have any ideas what to do, take, ect. for such a condition, and perhaps what to call it? Thanks.

You could be dealing with arthritis (an example only). The only way to know for sure is to see a doctor for further evaluation of the situation. Because of the financial situation you can check with the city health dept to see if they offer a free health clinic that might be able to help evaluate this further for you.
In the mean time you can try something like glucosamine and chondritin to see if that helps to ease some of this pain.
