If you don't eat them *directly* before going to bed and not a huge bowl full of them, then its really not bad
plus..crispix are fat free, and cheerios like multigrain are lower in fat and quite healthy for you
Compared to other choices people tend to make late at night, cereal is one of the better snacks.
As long as you have things in moderation, eating cereal before bed shouldnt have any huge impact at all.
Hope this helps!
P.S. I just had a cup of kix cereal myself! And I'm 115lbs at 5'6 (19 yrs)

Six months. It's normal for a young baby to be hungry during the night - filling them up with something they cannot digest does nothing except deprive them of calories that they need! Yes, lots of people give rice cereal, even other solids, earlier than that. They are playing Russian roulette with their child's future. Giving solids - any solids - before six months old greatly increases the chances that the child will develop diabetes, severe allergies, digestive problems, or become obese. The only time a child should have early solids is when the result of not having them is even worse than the risks - this can happen, if a child has severe reflux or simply is not growing properly on just milk despite having lots and lots of it. Please don't assume these other mums know what they are talking about. Early solids is something that was recommended back in the 50s and 60s, before we knew what it could trigger, and it's been passed on down as an urban myth. But far too many people don't understand statistics. To them, if they, or their kids, were fine, that means it's safe. It doesn't mean that at all. It means they rolled the dice and they were lucky. Your kid might not be.

ideally, if you are trying to lose weight, you should not eat cereal before bed. cereal is a processed carbohydrate food source. you should not take in carbs before bed as they may have a tendency to be stored as bodyfat due to the fact that you are going to sleep right afterwards and do not have a chance to burn them off. a better option would be a protein source before bed. lowfat yogurt, cottage cheese, a handful of mixed nuts, or a heavier protein source such as tuna, chicken, or turkey would be a better choice for a pre bedtime snack. try to take in most of your carbs earlier on in the day as they will provide you with the needed energy and your body has a better chance to use these carbs as fuel rather than store them as fat.

The real question: should i eat before bed?
No. Because even walking and doing daily activities heps burn calories from your food, but you are doing nothing when you sleep, ergo the fat buildup. So don't eat after the last time you exercise for the day.

Really, you shouldn't have a bedtime snack. It's better to just have a big breakfast.

No, I think that's one of the healthier choices if you're hungry at night, I switched to that and it helped me lose weight.

If you eat lots of them, and with milk that's not fat-free. I usually eat fat-free pudding or fat-free milk with fat-free chocolate (for the milk) before I go to sleep.

all food is bad to eat after 8pm only because your body begins to unwind around that time and you are not active enough to lose any calories that you put on after eating past that time.

you will still burn the calories while you sleep and when you get up, but eating before bed gives me some weeeird dreams! :)
