Can anybody remember this film ?

it was ghost chase.....used to always be repeated on the horror channel, it was german produced though an american film and had the lad that was Rusty in National Lampoon's European Vacation in it....he inherited this clock with the ghost of a butler in it, off his grandfather who worked in hollywood and it turned out some secret was hidden in his old house which had been turned into a film set (which they were going to destroy), and he had to solve the mystery, was well wicked, think the lad's name was jason lively if you want to check it out on imdb
