You wrote "everytime I try to download flash, it doesn't work."
What doesn't work? Is it YouTube or flash? And why would
you need to download flash? It is basically resident on just
about every computer.
If your YouTube seems stuck with strange messages about
"java script" and "flash player" -- and people are suggesting
that you change or install stuff....DO NOT TOUCH A THING;
it could be a false alarm.
You'll probably get nowhere fooling around with java scripts,
flash players, firewall settings, anti-virus programs, pop-up
blockers, activeX controls, browsers or registries. And stay
away from stupid add-ons, utilities or downloaders.
Absolutely none of those things will help you, because your
computer/YouTube was working perfectly fine before, right?
The first rule of thumb and best option should ALWAYS be:
don't disable, erase, uninstall, separate, switch, download,
alter, install, add or change anything. Doing those will only
make matters worse for you.
Your problem may correct itself within a few hours or by the
next day, because YouTube frequently shuts down many of
its servers every single day without telling anybody (in order
to update stuff). On some of those occasions, it's YouTube's
transmission of "java" or "flash" that's poor, not yours.
If by the next day your YouTube is still stuck and displaying
strange things, especially the "java script" and "flash player"
messages, then clear your "cache" of all temporary internet
files, cookies and history. Things should be okay afterwards.
If you're not sure how to do this, or if you want extra tips on
how to make YouTube run even faster (all without having to
buy or install anything), then click my avatar and email me.
I will guide you through "cache" clearing plus my other tips
in easy English with full explanations.
[Note: if you have Google Web Accelerator, dump it, burn it,
trash it, disable it, uninstall it -- do everything you can to get
as far away from it as possible (even though this contradicts
my advice). Simply clicking "Don't Accelerate this Website"
will not help you whatsoever.
Note 2: in order for long videos to play smoothly, sometimes
both "flash" AND "shockwave" are required. Other than that,
avoid YouTube's beta homepage, and please stay away from
any stupid utilities and downloaders that people here on Y!A
may be shilling, because their replies have absolutely nothing
to do with your question, and their wares may actually make
your problem worse. Besides, what kind of a boffo answer is
(and I'm paraphrasing)...."Although you can't access videos or
even watch them, get this downloader."
Note 3: oddly enough, a weird solution that once worked for
me was changing the URL site from "www . youtube . com"
to just simply "youtube . com".]

You can't watch music videos without downloading flash. Have a nice day!

I used to have the same problem.
In this case, you can try to download the vid before watching.
I'm using Moyea flv downloader. It downloads very fast with high quality and supports full screen.
And it is FREE.
It is very easy to handle.
You needn't get the url when downloading the vid.
Just press "start recording"
Click in the page where the vid is playing
The downloader will automatically save it to your hard disk.
Then you can watch it with the embeded flv player.
You can search "flv downloader" on google.com for more info.

try downloading a new browser and downloading the file from there. It should work.

some sites may help you but they can be slow ...
this will help you... use 'zillatube'
it is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.
Zillatube easily download videos from Youtube... to your computer, and more (e.g. convert them, or to play them)
It works very well - just yahoo or google search for "zillatube"
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=zillatube&btn...
