boil water and set the candle in the water, when wax is melted, combine all waxes into one to make new one. don't forget to get a new wick (at craft stores, walmart, candle shops) if you just want to loosen it and the candle is still pretty tall, full, etc. same applies just melt it until it comes out.

Next time put a little water in the votive before putting in the candle, and/or spray with PAM or generic cooking spray.
Try pouring boiling water over the candle holder, when it is in a colander with a coffee filter at the bottom. Do this in the sink or over a large bowl or similar container. You don't want the wax going down the drain, and you don't want to scald anyone with the hot water. I'd put a bowl in the sink, then the colander, then the coffee filter, then the candle stick, then pour the boiling water. Easier to dump the wate when it cools. You will have to work with the wax while it's hot,
so wear rubber gloves to keep from burning yourself.
Good Luck!

Apply an Ice Cube to the wax or simply put glass candle holder in the freezer for about twenty minutes take out and scrape off with dull knife or razor blade or even a finger nail to remove candle residue apply a paste of Baking Soda and White Vinegar allow to dry then scrub with a nylon scrubber or you can use a product called Goo Gone simply follow the directions on the bottle Good Luck !

next time placed a splash water interior the votive earlier putting interior the candle, and/or spray with PAM or wide-unfold cooking spray. attempt pouring boiling water over the candle holder, while it quite is in a colander with a coffee filter out on the backside. try this interior the sink or over a extensive bowl or comparable field. you do no longer % the wax happening the drain, and you do no longer % to scald absolutely everyone with the nice and comfortable water. i might placed a bowl interior the sink, then the colander, then the coffee filter out, then the candle stick, then pour the boiling water. much less complicated to offload the wate while it cools. you will might desire to artwork with the wax on an identical time because it quite is warm, so placed on rubber gloves to maintain from burning your self. solid success!

Put the candle holders in the freezer. After a couple hours the wax will harden and you can easily pry it out with your fingers or a butter knife (to break the seal against the glass). It's amazing how easy this fix is!

It is simple, put the candle holder in a double boiler and it comes right of without scraping and marring up your candle holder.

you can scrap the majority of it off, then wash in HOT, soapy water... it will melt the wax!!!
