Is this photo REAL??? what do you think?
so i was sent this email about a story and it had this photo in it and i'm trying to figure out if it's real or not. i'm terribly happy to hear peoples' opinion, because usually they're very entertaining, but i am looking for someone with legitimate knowledge to tell me. i am looking for someone to tell me "yea" or "nay" and PROOF to document their opinion. otherwise stare in wonder, my friends. because it is possible.
here's the photo:
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h56/babyboler/sh...
and of course, i've been asking everyone and i've encountered a disbeliever at work, cause i think it could be real, and we're in a friendly debate over it and he emailed me this picture to prove that mine was a fake: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Great_white_sha...
but i told him not only do sharks have to keep moving in order to physically push water through their lungs, which would make it bigger, but it could be a female, which are bigger
it looks, to me, as if there are bubbles coming from the female divers snorkel but the male diver doesn't appear to be using a snorkel, so no bubbles

Here is your proof it is fake. It was an entry in a Photoshop contest called Vacation Bloopers 6.

It does not look real to me first because the wave reflection on the shark seems to indicate that it is either in shallower water or that the divers were diving on a cloudy day as opposed to a sunny day. The patterns are not going to reflect equally on the shark and on the divers but the divers show a complete lack of wave reflection from the surface, the shark shows a lot. Second, while great whites are large, the dimentions for this, especially being behind the divers, is too large.
As to the bubbles, it appears that both divers have regulators and if they are inhaling, no bubbles might be caught in-frame. Only during exhaust would the bubbles be present - I don't know that i find anything conclusive on that issue one way or the other.
Finally, if this were a legitimate shot, it would have been published and picked up by legitimate news sources like the AP and not seen only in emails.
There have been a lot of photo hoaxes recently including the photo of the 'giant dog'.

Lol, it's an obvious fake I'm sorry to say. If you take a look you can even see the photoshop outline around the shark. Funny more than anything. If you wan to know, the shark has been photoshopped as well. Sharks don't smile nor are they like dolphins with that perpetual upturned jaw. Nor does it have a sharks teeth.
