Are there any people out there who would prefer President Bush to John McCain?
Just curious if there are any conservatives or Republicans (or whatevers) out there who would vote for Bush over McCain if somehow he could run for a third term. After all, there are still 28% of people who approve of him. And some of them must be on Yahoo answers - there are some pretty conservative people on here.
Also, if you state your reasons why I will be more likely to give you the 10 pts.
kejjer and lend322 - thanks for providing reasons why. I can respect an honest conservative who is not afraid to defend their principles.

I would. One reason is the gas prices. I have been told that 10 percent of the cost producing anything, your cell phone for example, is in transportation. The rising gas prices are going to hurt more than just our checkbook when we fill up but also when we buy other stuff. Bush has wanted to drill for more oil in the U.S. We have a huge supply of untapped resources but environmental overanxiety has caused us not to. Bush also wants to go after alternative forms but he is realistic in seeing we need to take advantage of oil in the U.S. When we stopped drilling for new oil, why are we surprised when the price of gas goes up?
Also his tax cuts caused the highest economic growth in two decades.
When every intel agency in the world said Sadam had WMDs and we knew he had used them to kill thousands of Kurds and Iranians, Bush had the courage to go after Sadam. Now that we realized we messed up, Bush is the only one who is taking specific actions that seem to be working, aka the surge.

I like Bush---but his time is up.
he has served his two terms.
Now McCain is a liberal in every way accept the War on Terror and his Choice in Federal Judges---at least he says that.
But that beats the hell out of OBAMA or Clinton.
Both of whom would hand Radical Islam a victory over the USA and the West which will only encourage the Terrorist to attack the USA and it's interest around the world.
Now --McCain and Bush agree on illegal immigration a lot--
but so does Obama and Hillary--so they are are equally worthless on that point.
But at least with McCain will not just rubber stamp Reid and Polosei's Socailist agenda's.
