You have one of three problems:
Problem 1: The speakers or the cables to the speakers are defective.
Solution: Replace them (I'm sure the cables will come with the new speakers).
Problem 2: If your speakers have a MIC knob and input jack or if your sound card has a Microphone attached, it's turned up too loud.
Solution: Turn the MIC knob down or take the Microphone out of the computer while you aren't using it.
Problem 3: You sound card is having problems.
Solution: Re-install the drivers.
How to:
1. If you have the system disk that came with the computer (I think it might say "applications" or something like that), put it in the CD tray.
2. Go to Start - Settings - Control Panel - Sounds and Audio Devices and click on the tab that says "Hardware".
3. Highlight the sound card (usually located under the CD drive(s)) and hit Properties.
4. Next, go to the Drivers tab, and hit Update Drivers.
5. If you have the CD, check the radio that says, "No, not this time." If you don't have the CD, check the radio that says, "Yes, this time only".
6. Check the radio "Install the software automatically" and hit Next.
From there, Windows will update or re-install the drivers for your sound card.
I hope this helps! Good luck!

Either interference (noticed that beeping coming from you speakers when your cell phone goes off close to them?) or - this being more likely, as they're three years old and probably cheap dell speakers - a capacitor got blown or something. Just spend $20 on logitech desktop speakers at your local computer stuff store.

It's important to say that tinnitus is a symptom and not a disease. Some people will have tinnitus because their Cochlea is damaged. And in a few, it could be caused due to hearing loss. But of course, the most common cause of tinnitus is exposure to loud noises. The noise can be a sudden burst, or it could be a constant banging that hits the ear drum and travels inside.
A good guide you can read about tinnitus and some good natural remedies can be found here: http://tinnitus.toptips.org/

1.check your system performance & CPU usage in the task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+del keys
check for process in task manager , running more than 17% other than sys idle process & explorer.exe
2.check for noise from the harddisk (keep ur ears closed to ur cpu & listen) old harddisk's rpm & performance wil make system slow ,crackle noise, etc

probably has some thing to do with the sound gadget, coupled with the video games. i'd propose a dedicated sound card (or an as a lot as date one) for the workstation to purpose to treatment the problem.
