Credit card question, any help?

I have had a Victoria's Secret credit card for probably five years now, I've used it, I always pay my balance, etc. Well today I tried to sign up for online statements instead of getting one in the mail, and when I put my credit card number and my social security number, it said that the information entered was invalid. How is that possible? I've never had a problem using it or anything. I'm going to call tomorrow, but if it is the wrong social security number and I've been using the card for years, is that fraud?

probably nothing to worry about. Could be some minor problem on their end. I had a similar thing happen to me with my GAP credit card, after 1 phone call it was fixed and no problems. I also had a credit card where they were off by 1 digit with my SS #, it was a quick fix over the phone and there was no problems. I wouldnt worry about fraud...that would be an extreme case scenario

It could be a glich in their system. Just call customer service and they could probably even get you registered over the phone. I wouldn't say fraud though. It may be because you have had it so long and now want to enroll the account online. It may be a security measure in place to protect you.
