Oil/Oil gauge problems.?

I have a 93 Pontiac Bonneville and for some reason today, I notice that my oil gauge is going over. The gauge range is 0 to 120. The 0 is the red range, but the gauge is going past the 120. What does this means? Thanks for your answers

It's possible the gauge or sensor is faulty or the wiring is shorted out, but the worst case is that means something is plugged. Get it fixed right away before it blows a seal somewhere - might be too late.
