Are you a blood donor or on bone marrow donor register?
Reasons for or against pls.
I personaly have made 58 donations since making a vow to God that i would double the number of blood units that my mother got, if she at least woke up from major surgery to remove advanced/ aggresive skin cancer. Mom needed 23 units over 3 days. Lots of limpglands & some muscles removed but 21yrs later mom is still healthy & still managing her home publishing buisness at age 68.
G'day & thanks Tom. I have organ donor on my Australian drivers licence for when im dead but am on Australian Bone Marrow Registra as living marrow donor. So far only been asked to give a match Platlet donation for a lukemia patient who needed match plates for a final High Chemo dose that might finaly cure him but would at least temporary knock out his platlet production. 2yrs later he is still in Remission & probably is still making both his & my platlets in his bone mattow.

I am a blood donor through the american red cross at home, and the blood bank of delmarva at school. I have donated 9 pints so far in my 2 years so far of elegibility. I will be a lifelong donor, and I try to limit travel to places which keep me from donating. I also plan on getting a job as a phlebotomist while in PA school or in med school.
I also recently joined the bone marrow registry.
I feel good about doing both, and feel that a little pain is worth it when it saves someones life.
The only thing I will not donate are my extra organs (kidneys, liver fragments etc). I will only give those to family, as its something that is limited to only one donation, and I want it to be a meaningful donation to someone I know.
