Elections 2008..?

Clearly Congress (The Legislative Branch) makes the laws and spends the money, so that branch is most important to me. Second is the The Supreme Court (Judicial Branch) because they challenge the constitutionality of the laws that Congress makes. Third is the actions of the President in the (Executive Branch) and his cabinet. As we found out the Executive Branch gets a lot of press and can build up or tear down the over moral of the masses.

I would have to say for the first branch of government, the legislative branch has the most impact. The reason is because we still have laws and acts that need to be passed to ensure that we as citizens can live a happy and productive life. For example, I think that there should be a law in place that monitors our consumption of energy. Many will disagree with me but I think that Obama has a good idea in place concerning our enviornment. I don't think that the government should have the power to control what we do, but when it comes to converving energy I think that it is an idea that should be discussed. The legislative branch is important to my life, because it allows laws to be created to protect me as a U.S. citizen. Secondly would be the judicial branch. This branch is of some importantance because it is what allows many laws to be passed in congress and even in major court cases. Judicial decisions effect everyone's life but I don't hold it to high regard as I do the legislative. Finally you have the excutive. This branch is the least most important to me because it isn't where major decsions are made in regards to me as a citizen. It only involves the large corporations, and those in high power..
