Light treatment of Obama's statement "Jerusalem must remain undivided"?

This statement is the sort of major flub that can come from inexperience, lack of depth and naivety . Why is the press treatment on this so light?

Update:

It appears that I provided too little information, and overestimated the knowledge of the readers. The US, in one form or another, has maintained a careful position that Jerusalem should be open to both Isreal and to the Palestinians. This is a highly charged issue. Obama has since back stepped on his comments. It is not clear that any of the responders below were aware of this.

    So would not knowing which sect of islam you are fighting against in Iraq........

    The reason the treatment has been so light is that he was speaking positively towards Israel's interest, so its not an issue.

    If this were about Palestinians retaining an undivided jersualem then we would have an immediate story to discuss.

    Jerusalem was originally liberated by a very few men that did something amazing. I would never dishonor what they had to do by giving the city on the hill to the Palestinians. I would rather see them take the rest of israel then to take that city.
