I'm don't think my friend believes that I'm allergic to nuts?

She always offers me food with nuts, and she always throws nuts at me, and when I do have a reaction and I debate whether to go home or wait it out she acts like I'm being an over-sensitive baby...I just don't think she understands that it really makes me feel sick. And also, I think she doesn't believe me because I'm allergic to tree nuts and not peanuts. I can tell that she doesn't understand that they're in totally different families. So I was wondering...

Do you all know of any websites that explains scientifically how peanuts and tree nuts are different, or maybe how allergic reactions to tree nuts work? The more official and scientific and certified the better. Thanks!

Doesn't sound like a good friend to me. It's frustrating when people don't believe you're that allergic until something really bad happens. Try this site out.

Your not allergic to peanuts because they aren't really a nut, they are in the pod family, similar to a pea.
