i am a new bengali christian. do i still get to wear shindu or red bracelets? pls advize. live in US with no

shindu is the red vermillion that i wore in my hairline to show that i was married and a bindi dot.

the red bracelets and shhakha to show that i am a bengali- as there are absolutely no bengali christians for literally miles i was just wondering,

these were all things that were given to me when i went through a hindu marriage ceremony so i'm not sure.....

    Yes, you can wear shindu and red bracelets.

    As far as I know, there isn't a dress code for Christians, as long as they're decently covered. You can generally wear whatever you please.

    There are some odd sects that have strange attire (look at the women in the polygamous Mormon cult) but most mainstream Christians can wear just about anything.

    What is shindu? Is there a pagan symbolism attached to wearing red bracelets? There is no prohibition in Christianity about women wearing bangles.

    My godmother was also Christian, and she still wore them.
