Has anyone read the "Satanic Scriptures" yet?
I just read this great book the "Satanic Scriptures" by Church of Satan High Priest Peter Gilmore. It is great to see a religeon based on reality and not ignorance for once. And the rituals are incredible and based on emotions instead of mumbo jumbo. I know I will get good answers to this. I also know I will get some real insane answers and comments to this question as well, but I do not mind as they make me laugh and there is nothing wrong with that.

what a confused notion you seem to have with God not really existing but satan being real and tangible.
Prior to converting to Mormonism my cousin was mixed up in that. It didn't do anything good for him in his life; and I've read every other major religious book but would never read that.
He did however mention that in the end it finishes rather abruptly during the final battle. Right at the point where Jesus is victorious in Christian scriptures it gets awfully quiet over there.

Many of the people responding here clearly have not read The Satanic Scriptures or the 40 year old predecessor "The Satanic Bible". Not only this, but they clearly haven't even a cursory knowledge of the subject of Satanism as a modern religion.
It is indeed a very well written book filled with practical wisdom and refreshing honesty.

No, I haven't.
I think that there a few excerpts here in R & S, though....There seems to be a lot of mumbo jumbo and ignorance in those Satanic Scriptures as well....

You really want to follow evil? Be atheist rather than following that if you have to. You going to accept theres Satan and Follow him instead of God? A religion that allows for murder, sacrifice and bad things.......stay away for your own health-mentally and pysichally. "Mumbo Jumbo"?
Matthew 13:10,11
The disciples approached him and said, "Why do you speak to them in parables?" He said to them in reply, "Because knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted."
2 Corinthians 4:3,4
And even though our gospel is veiled, it is veiled for those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they may not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ...
John 8:43,44
Why do you not understand what I am saying? Because you cannot bear to hear my word. You belong to your father the devil and you willingly carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks in character, because he is a liar and the father of l lies.
