I'm not embarassed by my vote for GWB--No one should be embarassed about their vote for anyone.
I'm not happy with everything he has done, but I doubt I will ever be completely happy with any president. If I had to choose again between Bush and Gore or Kerry, I would choose Bush again. (Although I really wanted McCain back in 2000).
I am also not just blindly saying that. I benefited a lot during Bushs' presidency. Bush's initial tax cuts in and refunds of 2001 came right when I started college and I really needed the lower taxes. Then in 2006 when I graduated, the job market was amazing for my field (engineering), which I credit to Bush's tax cuts targeting the "wealthy" small businesses, which allowed small businesses like my company to expand and bring in new hires.
The economy is not great now, but if was when I was in the job market. Besides, the economy has slowed for two main reasons (housing and oil) and I don't think any President could have been able to stop a housing bubble burst or a skyrocketing demand for oil.
