Ahmadinejad's comment about moving Israel to Europe: Is it wrong?
I usually disagree with Iran's president, but what he says seem to make sense to me. The Holocaust was entirely the fault of Europeans (notably Germany), so why should the Middle East pay for it?
I wish to know how others feel about Ahmadinejad's comments. Do you feel what he said is wrong and why?
Info: For those who may not know, Iran commented in 2005 that since the Holocaust was the fault of the European and occurred almost entirely within Europe, then the placement of the Jewish homeland should be within Europe, and that the Middle East should not be charged the cost of the Holocaust. Instead, the state of Israel should be moved to Europe, and the current Palestinian-Israeli conflict would be solved as a result.

Why would the jewish homeland be in europe ?
When the jewish people, are from right where they are today ?
Your post makes no sense at all.
You act like the land Israel is on now, belonged to someone else, before Israel was formed.
There were no palestinians before Israel was formed.
Palestine was a huge area from the Ottoman Empire.
But it included Jews, Arabs, Christians
It included people from 8 or 9 old countries that no longer exist.
It's land area, included what is now :
Jordan
Israel
Lebanon
Egyption Siani
Southern Syria
But you want to claim, that just the part that Israel is on, belongs to some people called palestinians.
Who didn't even exist untill after 1948.

Sorry Sonney, I'm not going to answer you but I want to answer Jeeper-Peeper...
Who said Palestine didn't exist before 1964. That’s a funny date because it existed about three thousand years earlier.
They ruled the place starting from 1150 BC.
"The Philistines occupied the five cities of Gaza, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Ekron, and Gath, along the coastal strip of southwestern Canaan, that belonged to Egypt up to the closing days of the Nineteenth Dynasty (ended 1185 BC)."
Check it out:

Don't tell me "Philistines" is different from "Palestine". “Philistines” is just the Arab pronunciation of “Palestine".
Plus, the kingdom of Israel was formed at 930 BC. Two hundred years after the Philistines. The Kingdom of Judea was formed 100 years earlier than Israel, but still after the Philistines.
"Why would the Jewish homeland be in Europe?
When the Jewish people, are from right where they are today?”
Being a Jew doesn't give you the permission, nor the passport to claim a land. Not only doing that, but also throwing the Palestinian inhabitants of a region, where they had lived in for many years.
Yes the Israelis did tell the Arabs to stay, but they left, trying to make way for armies to push the Israelis out. But when the Arabs lost, they were left without a land. But the Israelis also started to throw some Arabs out. You will see that if you read the link.
Check the "transfer idea" part:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Causes_of_the_1948_Pa...
Plus the whole idea that: because the kingdom of Israel and Judea existed at some time that means they have the right to be formed again, is WRONG. That’s a wrong way to claim land. Does that mean you think that all the old empires and kingdoms have the right to come back? If the world was like that, it would flame up with crisis, just the same way with the Israel-Palestine thing.
And don't get me wrong!!! The only reason I say the Palestinians have the right exist isn't because they did thousands of years ago. It’s based on this that the people of that geographic region, which is called Palestine by the way
( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestina), have the right to govern themselves, Jewish or Muslim. It’s not up to the Brits to decide what to name people's land, its to the majority of inhabitants.

If he had half a brain he'd be angling for Israel to be re-built in/over Rhode Island, it would fit w. room to spare and there is so much room for improvement, look what the Jews have done w. NY!
The Holocaust was caused by WW2 which was caused by the failure of laissez faire Capitalism and subsequent world economic collapse, caused by the US in '29. Germany and The British Empire had been eclipsed in power by the US in WW1, America led the world's follies until the Great Depression.
The Jews have their myths and legends about (what was British Palestine) being their rightful homeland, the majority of Jews who don't want to be a thorn in the side of neighbouring savages moved to and/or live all over the rest of the world peacefully already. Ahmadinejad can call for whatever he wants, many Jews living in Israel believe themselves to be the 'chosen ones' and would rather cause WW3 than be moved to Europe or the US for every-ones benefit. I'd like to see them moved to Glasgow, that would learn both sides.

Just to make sure I have this right, they would rather the Jewish homeland be in Europe reather than the original Jewish homeland?
While we are making things right, maybe the Turks can have the whole mess back as part of rebuilding the Ottomon Empire? Or maybe we should help the Italians rebuild the Roman Empire? The Greeks, maybe? Babylonians? Assyrians?
Geez. I'm confused. Who does the place belong to?

Many Jews in Israel have no connection to real Jews besides Zionism. They are European in bloodline, so yes, I agree with him. The Jews in Iran and Sephardi Jews around the world are the real Jews.
Check out this video on Iran's Jewish community.

I fully agree with his opinion. Check the last response.

THE JEWISH PEOPLE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND A HOME SINCE DISPORA, WHEN THE ROMANS KICKED THEM OUT OF ISRAEL. IT WAS THEIRS TO BEGIN WITH. GOD TOLD THE JEWS THIS LAND WAS THEIRS AND THE JEWS BATTLED FOR IT. THEY FEEL THAT ISRAEL IS THEIR HOME LAND FOR IT WAS SNATCHED AWAY FROM THEM LONG AGO. THEY ALL SCATTERED ALL OVER THE EARTH. AND IN 1948 THEY FINALLY HAD A NEW HOME. VERY SHORTLY AFTER. THEIR ARAB NEIGHBORS DECLARED WAR. ISRAEL REPELLED THEIR ARMIES(THEY SHOULD'VE BEEN SLAUGHTERED) AND AMAZINGLY TOOK TERRITORY. UNDER PRESSURE THEY GAVE IT BACK. ARAB COUNTRIES WOULD CONTINUE TO DECLARE WAR ON ISRAEL AND EVERY ATTACK WAS REPELLED AND THE ISRAELIS WOULD GRAB LAND.
