Why do many religions claim God as their own?

I'm sure all religions claim a God as their own. I believe they all claim similar characteristics because there is only one true God.

My God, Jesus, was different than others in a couple different ways,

1) He came to earth to die not live. One of his main purposes was to bridge the gap between a holy God and sinful man so God came in the form of a man and was sacrificed to allow the gap to be bridged and us to have a relationship with him. (There is more on this if you are interested)

2) He is the only God reaching out for us in a relationship not waiting for us to reach for him

3)He rose from the dead, no other religion claims their messiah or God did this

4) He lived a perfect life

By the way YES YES AMEN YES it is only God's job to judge

Matt 7:1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged"

They claim that God is their own because they know nothing about him. Had they known him they wouldn't have killed each other for no reason.They wouldnt have advocated on wats rite and wats wrong and on top of all they wouldnt have had the heart to judge God's creations on there own being nothing but only a small part of it.The truth is like everything else God is also being made a buisness, a point of status, everyone wants all the world to adopt their religion. They want everyone to believe what they believe in and for this they can fall to any depth ... upto killing.If they would have been truely religious they would have known mercy and peace.I personally feel that if some one does not believe in something (gay marriages or anyother thing for that marriage) keep it upto urself and dont try to force ppl to follow ur will.u have nothing to do with their lives.

Religions are man made, while man is God made. Man wants to meet his creator and he is trying his level best to do so, but he simply does not try to follow the right way to reach to God, which is Jesus. He is the only one, who emphatically said "I am the way, the truth and the life". "None can reach to God but through me". God has given us the way to reach to him. People who beleive in it are called Christians. Christianity is not a religion, it is a conviction about God's promise. Those who have made it a religion, are not real Christians. The salvation by God is for all.. for all those who wish to come to the light of God.

2-in the bible Leviticus 18:22 it says that two men to lie together is an abomination

3-yes God does have a dark humor he has to hes God

4-your right it is Gods job to judge not ours but when you die its too late so figure it out now

God loves to be labeled by superstitious fanatics, but no more than He loves to pit them against each other.

If God really has a humanistic sense of humor, it's quite dark.

the one that has the relationship with the one living God

A person must understand that we are born separated from God...Because we are separated we have sin within us that grows as we grow. That is the purpose of Jesus Christ. To accept the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

If we confess in an attitude of prayer that we believe in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus and invite God into our heart... nothing more!

Then and only then will the Holy Spirit will come and reside in you and will never ever leave. Giving the gift of salvation unto eternal life. At that point you are able to communicate with the Lord and know that if you died today you'd be present with the Lord.

HISTORY

God the Father came as authority of creation and all humanity in the time of the Old Testament (consider Moses ex. 10 commandments). God the Son came as the Savior to reconcile our relationship with God through his resurrection. After Christ’s ascension God the Holy Spirit came as the comforter and companion as we fulfill the work of the Lord in others, provide guidance in life, understanding of the scriptures and verification of truth. 1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1 John 5:8

And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

In addition, I must add in here the exciting end to our physical life here on earth if the Holy Spirit resides in you.

Because nothing to support their views left and they do not know well other philosophies and religions. All is relative.

Maybe more than 3. I know that the least is three.

There is no God but Allah

This is what muslims belive .The creator which is worshipped and who has sent the prophets is the same Allah .

There is no different creator but Allah .This is his name in Arabic .

the real creator is allah and he must be worshipped most of those who write about islam and are not muslims knows that and there are lots of evidance you can get them from the mosque (muslim's tempales)
