set the choke to about midway, pull the cord a few times, adjust the choke if it will not start.
the choke should be a small lever sticking out of the motor case.
once it starts, move to choke to full blast and being mowing in straight lines.
check and make sure you have enough fuel before you start! sometimes theyre a pain to start if they run out.

When you mow, mow in a straight row. At the end of the row, turn and put the motor about half way into the already Mowed area. This way you will not leave gaps in the lawn. All the grass will be cut neatly. I know this sounds like extra work, but if you are mowing lawns for money, you want a good reputation.

Uh, push it!
You need to follow strait lines by overlapping each row by the tire width or a little more. Keep the lines as straight as possible. Before you begin to cut the body of the yard, cut two or three swaths around the border and around trees and shrubs or flower beds this will make the final passes easier.
This is far from being rocket science.

You use it like a regular mower only you have to push it around the yard. It doesn't have a motor but, the basket should go on like a normal mower and then you push it and empty the basket.

There's not much to say .Make sure the level is as low as possible and rake after or the dead lawn will shield the grass from getting enough sun and water . I know this because I had one for years when I was young .It' s hard work ,but good excercise ,also much better for the environment .
