Which Vegas hotel is best out of these: Treasure Island, New York New York, MGM and MGM Signature? And why?

Believe it or not, even though my husband and I are 47, we've never been to Vegas. But we'd like to go this summer and have been researching hotels. We've narrowed it down to these 4 because of price and comfort. The things that are important to us are: quiet, comfortable beds, solid a/c, and a good pool would be nice.

Hi I hope you don’t mind but under each hotel I have put a discount code this is direct with the hotel so there is no middleman you cant get better rates and they are fully refundable up to 48 hours before check in you, as they are direct you can also use any comps you accumulate against your costs.

OK from what you want MGM Grand screams out to me as the best choice for you. Firstly the beds are quite simply the most comfortable I have ever slept in they are Sealy beds with amazing toppers. I went to Vegas in Feb and took some friends a couple who had never been and some others that had not stayed at MGM and the first thing they all commented on how good the beds were, we stayed at Wynn at Xmas and the beds there did not come close. The rooms at MGM are huge much bigger than normal for Vegas make sure you get a Grand Tower they are bigger and not as dark as West Wing Rooms. The pool at MGM is one of the best in Vegas its big and has a great lazy river and one pool is always adult only. I think that the AC is good in all resorts and I think that the noise levels will be the same, if you want a quieter room t MGM ask for one near the end of the corridor it makes it a long walk but less people walking past, though I have to say this is not something we have ever noticed.

Signature is not an option for me its too far form the main Casino it feels like you are off Strip if I were to stay off strip it would be the LV Hilton.

Treasure Island – Attracts a younger crowd and the pool is nothing special, if you have a room facing the Strip you get the noise of eth fireworks from the Sirens of TI – Show.

NYNY – Nice but small rooms but the pool is a small lump of concrete with a hole filled with water with the America restaurant having windows right up to it.

Have you considered the Mirage this is our favorite it’s a bit more grown up than most has an air of class amazing rooms and lovely really lovely lagoon pool, with the code below its probably on a par price wise with some of the others.

I just returned from Las Vegas last week. Forget what anyone else is saying. Why? Because there is a massive amount of construction going on all along the Strip right now. There are at least 20 new skyscrapers going up and there is all kinds of construction related noise, dust, detours, sidewalk scaffolding and debris. It is pretty ugly right now.

The only hotel on your list I can recommend is the MGM or MGM signature (same location). NY/NY is affected by construction right behind and around it, Treasure Island is being affected by the refurbishing of the Volcano attraction in front of the Mirage which is an ugly mess.

As of last week, no construction was occurring anywhere near the MGM Grand so I strongly recommend you chose that.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo and had a skyscraper being constructed right next door with giant cranes swinging over the pool and all the related noise and debris.

    Good Luck!

The best is MGM. It is huge! There is a lot to do and see at the MGM. The only problems with MGM is it's so far down on the strip. If you want to be right in the middle of the strip, stay at New York New York. All three of the hotels you mentioned are great, but MGM is just so beautiful and prestigious. It feels like you are royalty and they treat you just like you are! Have fun, wherever you stay!

I have stayed at MGM and that was lovely although the hotel is huge. Also stayed at New York New York but found the pool area to be very small by Vegas standards and the noise of the rollercoaster was annoying while trying to sunbathe but the rooms were very nice and the casino part is great. Treasure Island I have never stayed at as it is not as nice as the others.

I am going to Vegas on Tuesday and am staying at Excalibur for the first time, very cheap and the pool area looks nice, rooms not bad either.

Hope you and hubby have a great time, good luck!!

As a resident of Las Vegas, I can tell you you've narrowed it down to some EXCELLENT choices! The prices for each of these is about the same (but don't forget about looking into club discounts -- like AAA) to get it even lower. On comfort, they are all about equal as well. Something you should also consider, however, is location...and that's as in proximity to what you are interested in doing. Of the ones you listed, only MGM Grand has the Las Vegas Monorail connected to it, and it will take you up and down the east side of the strip all you want (tho' it does cost). But MGM and NY, NY are across the street from each other, so if you were interested in that interseciton (which includes Excalibur and Tropicana (as well as Luxor and Mandalay Bay both down from Excalibur) and there is a LOT of shopping to be done as you walk down the strip from there. Treasure Island is well-located about mid-strip, but walking from there to Caesar's forums, for example is 30 minutes (I know, I timed it...twice!).

I know I am kind of leaving this open-ended, but I hope a bit more info here helps you.

You cannot go wrong with any of these hotels but to find something quiet in Vegas is not easy. From your mentioned hotels I would say that the Signature is the quitest hotel. In my opionion all hotels have comfortable beds. Regarding the pool I would suggest Signature or MGM, MGM has a great pool scene. Keep an eye on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com/ for hotel promotions.

Out of the choices I'd pick MGM. I pretty much agree with everything Simon said, including taking a look at The Mirage. This remains one of my favorite hotels, it has a great pool and is in a much better location than the others, imo.

The person who said walking from Treasure Island to Caesars Palace took 30 mins must have been taking in the sites along the way.. that walk is less than a mile..

If you are going to ride the monorail alot, like to see shows, other casinos, attractions, and rides. The MGM has a stop and monorail boarding. New York NewYork is across the street and you can walk to MGM across the over head bridge for pedestians. Treasure Island has a great show but is very inconvenient if you plan to ride the rail. Circus Cirus is also bargain priced but very far away from the rail. If I remember right the monorail was like 30$ for three full days a person. They run every 15 minutes. trust me you wont be in the room alot! have fun!!!!! Ive been ther 5 times

Conquering New York in one visit is impossible since is a big city like you'll find with Hotelbye . In New York you can see the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and much more. Empire State Building causes it to be worth braving the long lines, high admission rates and dizzying levels to see the town from a premier that storied building. Built-in 1931, the skyscraper may be the second-tallest developing in New York and is one of the most immediate icons of Gotham, so much in order that it's performed a part in films such as for example King Kong, An Affair to Remember and Sleepless in Seattle.
