how long does it specifically take to upload a youtube video ive been wating for like 2 hours!give me a time!

Because they are all uploading different types

of videos ("avi", "mov", "mpg", "wmv", etc.) in

different lengths using different compressions,

YouTube's world-famous Help Center actually

says that it can take up to a whopping 8 hours

until any video is finally "uploaded".

If after all that time, the screen is still showing

you the dreaded "processing, please wait", it's

time to reluctantly click "Remove Video" and

start all over again. The preferred YT format is

"mpeg4 at 640x480 resolution with mp3 audio."

There are so many variables that affect the upload.... just a few, depends on your computer, the speed of the processor, the type of internet connection you have, the speed of the connection, your firewall, the size of the flick your trying to upload, if you're running other programs at the same time, that's only if the thing is working correctly and not getting stuck or frozen

depends on your internet connection upload speed, I have a relatively fast connection and it normally takes 1-4 hours, it also depends on the file size. I know youtube has a 10 min restriction so I can't see it being any longer than 5 hours (because I don't know what size the file you are trying to upload so it could be 50Mbs or it could be 500Mbs). Overall there are too many unknown factors to provide a reasonable guestimation for time.

sometimes it can take pretty long, it took one of my videos 3 hours to upload before, and if you just start over it could take even longer, just wait it out, it depends how long your video is, i mean if its a short one it should only take no longer then 5 minutes, but if its a long video then it could take hours. Your video will upload though, just try to be patient. Hope i could help!

How big is the file?, what is you internet service providers upload speed?, without that information i can't calculate the upload time.

Either something is wrong with your computer or you just need to take your mind off of it and answer some questions on here that's why i'm answering questions so I can take my mind off the vids.

i usually upload 10 minutes videos..

takes me 5 minutes..

maybe your internet is slow..

or probably today is just not your day

It takes me 2 - 5 minutes. You should probably try again.

try befeatured.com...it has a progress bar and tells you how much time it should take...uploads pretty fast too. check it out

maybe its becuz its 8-10 minutes long
