Too many.
As for Americans, The significant fact is that it's way more than died in the 9/11 attack. In fact, according to the MIPT database, it's more than have died in every terrorist attack in history in North America, including 9/11.
So what have we gained? Al Queada killed the first 2500, and we sent the next 4600* to them for their killing convenience.
For Iraqi civilians, the numbers are disputed, but let's suppose they are only 100,000 instead of the million + figures that some are giving... Isn't 100,000 too many?

It is NOT Bush War !!!
BLAMER ... PLEASE ... EXPLAIN THIS !!!
Democrats ... have ... over the years ... weakened our economy through their Socialist / Communist / Liberal Agendas !!!
Being PART of OUR government, the Republican Party does have to take SOME blame ... just NOT as MUCH as the Democratic BLAMERS are TRYING to say !!!!
The Democrats are MOSTLY responsible for our economic problems !!!

Democrats have to recognize that since the 73rd Congress in 1933, for a MAJORITY of THE LAST 65 YEARS, Democratic Houses of Representatives and Democratic Senates have CONTROLLED the nation and the President.
A TOTAL of 38 Sessions with Democrats in CONTROL for 28 of those!
WE need to inform/TELL our political representatives that WE NEED TO PASS a Constitutional Amendment for the LINE ITEM VETO.
This will keep the SPECIAL INTEREST GARBAGE from being attached to valuable legislation.
If Congress wants to give the president that power, they will have to pass a constitutional amendment, Supreme Justice John Paul Stevens said. "If there is to be a new procedure in which the president will play a different role in determining the text of what may become a law, such change must come not by legislation but through the amendment procedures set forth in Article V of the Constitution," Stevens said, on June 25th, 1998.
IF your special interest is SO valuable, why do you have to HIDE it in valuable legislation?
So, with them REFUSING to PASS the Line Item Veto, in reality, the House and Senate have REALLY been controlling the country!!
AND, with the CURRENT Senate and Congress having the WORST approval rating in HISTORY, hopefully we will see a LOT of changes after the general elections.
A recent Reuters poll is out and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have pulled an upset: They have managed to make George Walker Bush twice as popular as CONGRESS.
RECENTLY - - JUST 13% of Likely Voters now say the DEMOCRATICALLY CONTROLLED Congress is doing a good or excellent job. A recent Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 43% give Congress a poor rating.
Those results represent a slight decrease from the previous month, when 15% gave Congress a good or excellent rating.
Democrats generally believe in heavy fines for honest work, while rewarding sloth and indulgence.
Do YOU think that people should be able to do absolutely nothing productive and get government hand-outs for sloth and indulgence - healthcare, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, STDs, etc. ??
Do YOU want to have YOUR MONEY TAKEN from YOU and YOUR FAMILY to FINANCE these people ???

I believe the current administration under Bush has done well to keep us safe after 9/11. There have been attacks planned but foiled by our law enforcement, CIA, and FBI.
I believe the reason terrorist organizations have come out in support of an Obama presidency is because they feel his adminstration will be more lax in the war on terror.
I agree that Obama or any other ultra liberal that is elected to the highest office in the US will be easier on terrorists.
Remember how the terrorists had 8 years of planning time with the last liberal US president.

Yes America is safer because they are too busy fighting us over there. I'm not sure what you mean by Bush war as far as I know there are too wars ...OIF and OEF and both were approved by President Bush and congress. How many have died, too many ...why don't you take that up with Al Qaeda and have issue with them killing people? Stop using the troops as a political statement on Flag Day. Today the troops should be honored and remembered not be used as a statement against America. if you don't like our country , hop on a plane and leave.

This is my view on the whole thing:
Yes, we are safer. Only 3-4 thousand Americans have died in the six years or so we've been in Iraq. 2 thousand American citizens died in the one day of 9/11.
What most Americans don't understand is that the war AGAINST Iraq is over, but the war IN Iraq is not. We have defeated Hussein: that's a definite yes. Perhaps this was not necessary? I don't know the details. But there are terrorists in Iraq NOW, since we've gotten there at least, whom we are fighting. What Bush has done in Iraq is he has taken the war on terrorism to the terrorists, in both Iraq and Afganistan. If he had not done this, the war would be here in the states, on our own soil, with 9/11's happening every day, and casualities would be getting up into the 10's of thousands, perhaps even 100's of thousands. That's why I believe we are safer now, since we have war on terrorists in Iraq and Afganistan.

For liberty and freedom to be free from all their enemies, war is the price that has to be paid for their continued existence and enjoyment.
Bush is doing what no other president in the last 25 years has been willing to do, and that is take it to the terrorists on their home turf and stop letting them have a free pass in committing the atrocities they have committed in the name of, and devotion to, their totally whacked-out religious beliefs and convoluted world views.
How many attacks have happened inside the continental US since Bush toppled Saddam Hussein and sent USama bin Laden running like a scared little cave-dwelling bunny rabbit?

There is no question we are safer. Al Qaeda is near defeat in Iraq, and if only we had more cooperation with Pakistan, it could be the same in Afghanistan.
More and more Iraqis are laying down weapons, and getting ready to participate democratically.
As far as "Bush War" goes, it is so typical of liberals to not take any responsibility for what happened. Plus it wasnt' just the United States that invaded Afghanistan and Iraq.

Its ALOT more tha the official 4000 count they try to pass off, for the American Soldiers killed, Below is a website that talks of a report the VA did telling the truth, only problem is the Bush admin. made them take it down from the VA website.

Bush + conflict getting into the main suitable path = Media turning to depress the economic device as a replace, as a manner to get Democrats elected. This contains McCain, nevertheless they are going to quickly turn their weapons on him finished tension.

You are about as informed as a steaming pile of poo. I really hope you are not an American. US Congress approved of the use of force that led to the latest Iraq war, so its not Bushs war. And yes we are safer than if we stood here with our thumbs up our butts. In retrospect, could things have been done better, you bet. Hindsight is 20/20
