There is also one more important thing to check. Is the radio you have is relatively new.? If it is and it has the following letters on it (SAME or S.A.M.E", then your NOAA radio must have the proper code for your county. If you put the wrong county SAME code in, your radio may never alarm for any future warnings for your county. Please click on the following link to look up the right county code for your all-hazards radio.

Maybe the radio is malfunctioning and the radio is not warning you. I have heard of recalls because of the radio not receiving the messages. Is your radio the one that is being recalled? If so, check the internet on a weather website and see, or tune into the weather channel.

i've had warnings mess up because there coincidentally was a lightning strike when the warning was issued. the static messed up the signal and made it so that the radio couldn't understand it. also, the encripted signal for the warning is only sent out when the warning is issued. it's not constant like the internet

First, check to see that it is receiving a transmission. If yes, then

is it set to the right frequency?

    Is it set to alarm?

If yes to both questions, then possibly the tone alarm from the transmitter did not work properly. The originating weather service office should be aware of this problem and will take steps to correct it.
