This happens all the time, if given 1 report they do delete answers and questions, because most of the time yahoo will just pull things and rely on the person who made the report was right. I have appealed deletions and you can tell the person from yahoo never even read the deleted Q or A. It is the easiest thing to bushwack some other member and not have a correct objection or why it should be deleted. you have the power to screw up some ones account with enough reports, when the reporter of the violation should be under suspicion too.

Update: First, the question could have been reported as a chat violation. That said, my guess to your problem would be timing. I suspect your answer was added first, reported, then the second version was added later. The person that reported you, did not revisit the question, so probably never saw the second version and no one else reported it. The only other explanation is that the person who posted it second reported you. It was a borderline answer, like I said, the question should have been reported. I would appeal but don't be surprised if they say "s**** on people" is not allowed.

You would need to give us all the details to help. If all you did was cut and paste someone else's answer, that is a violation. If all you did was say something like, "I agree with John Smith," no matter what else you put, that is also a violation. All answers have to be original and independent.

I need a bit more details before a good reply can be offered. Initially, a lone report is not enough to deleted a question

This is a screwed up system. They never tell you why they deleted it. I think my answers or questions have been occasionally deleted by an online "enemy" whose questions I objected to because it was hidden attempt to sell drugs on line. I'll bet this answer is deleted as well. Jack C

If you appeal the deletion (as is your right) they do tell you what was wrong with it!

That's weird.....I don't understand their system.....I had an answer removed just today.....I would be a giraffe.

Sometime my Q&A got deleted with no reason at all..... is this democracy or what???
