Do you think Aaron Rodgers will be even remotely close to taking the packs as far as Favre did?

I don't think so.
He's too injury prone. Favre took the Pack as far as he did by being the mf-ing Ironman.
If Rodgers by some miracle of God can stay healthy, then fasten your seatbelts we're in for a ride. If not...we drafted Brian Brohm who can throw the long bomb like nobodys business, and Matt Flynn who has a lot of potential as well.
Who's to say he's got the starting job wrapped up anyway? I'm not betting his starting spot on that game in Dallas last season. I think preseason games could be a big factor here.

Now that Brett Favre is retired, what kind of chances do the Green Bay Packers have of winning the Super Bowl under Favre's likely replacement, Aaron Rodgers?
Not great, but not terrible either, according to the new Super Bowl odds posted today by Bodog. The Packers were listed at 14/1 before the Favre retirement announcement and are now listed at 20/1. I would have thought Favre's retirement would drop the Packers down a bit further than that.
As for Rodgers himself, you can also place a bet on his 2008 passing yards (the over/under is set at 3,250), his touchdowns (19) and his interceptions (15). For the record, Favre passed for 4,155 yards, 28 touchdowns and 15 interceptions last season.
And for the record, I'd bet the under on all three for Rodgers in 2008, for the simple reason that I don't think Rodgers is going to throw enough passes to reach any of those totals. I look for Packers coach Mike McCarthy to reshape the offense to make the Packers more of a running team (they passed 578 times and ran 388 times in 2007), and I don't think you can ever be confident that a quarterback who has never started a game will be able to start 16 in his first season at the helm. Bet the under on all of Rodgers' numbers, and bet against the Packers winning the Super Bowl.

"Remotely" is pretty vague. I believe that Aaron Rodgers will have a winning season, and possibly even get the Pack to the playoffs, even as a wild card team.
Cracks me up that so many people think that he just held a clipboard on the sidelines and never learned anything in 3 years. What do you think he did in training and mini-camps. Practices during the regular season? Do you think he was to shy to talk to Brett and the QB coaches about situations, plays, reading defenses, etc?
He will do a very good job as a first year starter with the Pack. Much better than Bush has done as a running back, or Lienert or Alex Smith. Even old whats his name for the Titans. You know, the guy that was supposed to be the second coming of Warren Moon, Randall Cunningham, and the dog abuser.

If you mean on a 1 season basis, for example: making the playoffs and getting to within 1 game of the NFC championship? No, more than likely he needs one maybe even two years to get to that level.
If you mean career wise? We'll never know until his body of work is complete. Who knew Favre was gonna be Favre?

He was pretty impressive in the game against Dallas, but there is no chance he will ever be a Brett Favre. As long as he tries to play his own game, and not live up to the packer fan standards, then I think he will be ok, and get the team back to the playoffs, with the help of that D.

Give Aaron Rodgers a couple of years and I'd say he will be a fine QB. I do not think that he will be as great as Favre, come on, who will? But I think they will do very good with him at the helm.

rodgers did have a few years to learn under one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history. now rodgers has a good receiving corps (something that favre has lacked for some time), and a pretty good defense. but i still don't think he'll be as influential to the packs as favre.

Aaron Rodgers shd be concerned with how far his mind & arm can take him & not worry abt filling Bretts' shoes....the Packers mite take a step back this season while they adjust to Rodgers.Next yr they cd be as good as they were last season

He will be a Good QB not a Great One. He will lead them to
Playoff Games and maybe even some Wins but It's Extremely
Difficult to do what the Great # 4 Did. It's Unfair to expect as
Much.

if you mean will he help them win 13 or more games yeah there is a pretty good chance i mean did you se him in the cowboys/packers game last season he can play like romo who helped get the cowboys pretty far but if you mean will aaron rodgers ever be as great as brette farve and do the things he did probably not the only thing aaron rodgers can do that brette farve did is never win a game in Dallas!!!!!
