my 11 yr old step child is livin w/ us for the summer n may b
4 the next school yr cuz her mom is in rehab for the 3d time this year! she just told me that she would drive w/ my step child in the car and drink at the same time but told her never to tell n e 1 also that she would keep her home form school cuz she was ill n didnt want 2 go 2 work that day so she would call the school n say her child was sick and make up lies for the child to tell the moms boyfriend so he would not get mad that she did not go to work for hella days my step child has to repeat the same grade due to missing hella school ?
her mom is gettin help now but she called r cell yesterday and said she will get out in a few days i dont want to let my step child get back in harms way with her mom but what can i do to stop her from her taking her from us?
she has a BAD history w/ drugs n drinkin?
my husband pays childsupport n we need help any sugestions will help thx

Take her to court, you have an easy open and shut case. She is a drug abuser who while in her care, your stepchild has suffered educationally and god knows what else. You'll win. It won't even take long to do this. Visit a lawyer, get a court hearing or judge to sign petition and you have primary care. That child support could be going to her alcohol and drug abuse rather than feeding and clothing stepchild. Help the child, she obviously needs it.
