Even if you like McCain, you've got to admit that this is kind of a problem.

The internet, let alone computers, have transformed this country and the world in the last 20 years. At a time when our economy is inextricably linked to computers and technology, and China is training an entire army of hackers to sabotage our defense networks, having a president who knows absolutley nothing about computers is scary.

I guess we can put this one on the board with the economy on the list of things he knows nothing about.

    Strike 2 Mr. McCain.....

No it does not matter one Bit, it is not like he is going to spend anytime Chatting on Y! Chat rooms or MySpace, Running a Country is very Time structured and like all Presidents before Him, leaves little Time for Him to Play on a Computer, For Information that he needs involving a Computer he has a Staff for that , That are Professionals.

A President has far better things to Do that Being Literate on a P.C.

No, i do no longer think of that makes a guy or woman computer illiterate. in the placement he's in, I doubt he fairly spends countless time engaged on a working laptop or computer. i do no longer think of he's as illiterate as human beings say; only that he does not comprehend sufficient to qualifiably communicate approximately them. Like possessing a house yet no longer understanding the thank you to restoration it, beautify it or in spite of have you ever. comparable ingredient with automobiles: you will possibly be able to stress one yet does no longer start to nicely known the thank you to restoration one.

No. It's irrelevant. The information a President needs isn't going to be on Google. It's typically classified so it's good if they know how to read but they don't need to be internet savvy. Presidents don't have a lot of free time to surf the net and they have a large staff to do research for them.

Personally, I think it's important for a president to be up-to-date on issues, laws, technology, and "the times."

Why would he need to know about computers. He is too busy to chat on forums and there are assitants who can do what needs to be done. We don't expect him to be able to change the oil in the car or fix the plumbing, do we?

McCain takes world matters too seriously to worry about video games.

No, as president, he won't have much time to spend arguing with 6th graders on Yahoo or balancing his checkbook online.
