The site didn't exist before and I was okay, so it will not hurt me. It is a great marketing tool for yahoo and their business associates for input on what will work or not and "feeling the heartbeat of America" at least those technology oriented people. It can be a tool to use to support opinions or create thought, but there are other methods used before the computer that can actually give more accurate data.
The problem is that once you have had a service like answers, you miss it, not that you cannot live without it. It just takes adjustment. Panick is not necessary. Use your time better with other things and see life while it is down. You will get it back quicker if you take a break and get involved elsewhere as the time moves faster. Try some day and you will see how fast they are back. The site has more to lose than we do.

I am single mum. I have been suffering for panic attacks for some 15 years now, though it was not until recently I understood what they were. They were progressively getting stronger and more frequent, stopping me from some days even leaving my house. I read this book and it all made perfect sense.
I am not saying I was not terrified of putting theory to action, I was more scared of that than the next attack! But I decided to view it as a game, one I had control of and could therefore not lose!

No they have to update ever so often why panic everyone do updates I even get them when I am doing my homework ,and that would be a time to panic not when Yahoo Answers are up dating. I probably will be doing something else at that time and will not know. They probably will be finish updating when I finish what I am doing.

Richard ,
Yahoo going off line is not a reason to panic.
I have and ''IN CASE of EMERGENCY'' check list that
states ; never panic if,
1. Your house is on fire.
2. You are in a car accident trapped inside your vehicle.
3. You are drowning; note: panic is the # 1 cause of death
in that situation.
4. There is a magnitude 8.4 Earthquake that has just took
place were you live.
5. Terrorist just attacked us on our homeland by massive
force.
That's when you ''PANIC''

oh gosh... if such things got me panic... nahh...
got so so much to do in this life.. so much creativity around to which one can always ... rely on...
this site does interest me a lot.. its kinda bond now...
but still... i think there are so many other things in life which we proportional divide for ourselves... and hence as a human nature.. always keep our minds occupied or else the MIND will consume you...
which is not good at all..

No, all you have to do before you read is set a little prayer, because God is the answer to all questions.

no, all sites have to update. i look forward to a better site when they re-open. every time i come on it's a new experience. i used to panic when my bank on line site went down to service the same time i went on to pay my bills. they, however, did this without notice.
this site has gotten better and better since i first stumbled upon it. i did notice a few people posting like trouble makers and this i could do without. i hope, they disappear with the house cleaning. i've seen people like that ruin other sites. if they don't like it here, don't stay! sorry guys, had to get that in!
