I missed the game tonight :( What was the biggest contributing factor to the Celtics win?

I had to work, no choice in the matter and no internet access :(

Update:

Can I get some more insightful answers please, besides "Celtics scored more"

Ok girl, let me break it down. First off Kobe came out strong. He was making shots from the perimeter and inside, however he was the ONLY one making shots. First half - Lakers were shooting at 29%. That's ridiculous. Another thing that hurt the Lakers were their inability to rebound offensively and defensively. Celtics put up a LOT of second-chance shots. The Lakers defense was almost non existant.

Gasol was completely dominated in the paint on the defensive end. Kevin Garnett was in his face and Gasol just couldn't defend. On the offensive end, Gasol just couldn't score like he normally does due to being shut out and defended so closely by Garnett.

The rest of the gang just couldn't stop Rhondo. He was great on defense. I believe he had 7 steals and he was powering to the rim as well. He reminded me of younger J.Kidd. He was there to rebound, steal, as well as score. Add Perkins, "The Truth" Prince Paul, and Ray Ray Allen's (record matching w/ Scottie Pippen and Kenny Smith) 7 three point shots. The Lakers just didn't have a chance this game.

    Hope that helps.

    Love ya!

Yes, Allen made 7 three point shots which is the record in the finals. Robert Horry set the record for the most three point shots without a miss in the Finals! (7)

Sry. I gotta give my boy props.

The Biggest Contributing Factor without a doubt was the Celtics Heart and Will to win tonight. They wanted it more than the Lakers, and went out tonight and showed that to the whole world on the grandest stage.

Celtics stifling D. Celtics ripped Lakers hearts out. Lakers gave up.

I know you don't just want "Celtics scored more," but they did. They outscored the Lakers by 39.

In the first quarter, it seemed like Boston got every loose ball and were just fighting for everything. LA got off to a bit of a faster start, Boston wasn't making shots, but their great play on defense set up their offense. Eventually the game just got out of hand.

Great game to watch if you're a Celtics fan, try to find it online or something.

Kobe's teamates got overwhelmed with the atmosphere of the Celtic fans, the big lead the Celtics had and their inexperience to play at this level.

They got blown out by halftime and could never get confidence to comeback and Celtics just let it rain.

    defense.. defense... defense...

they stopped the best player in the world.. controlled the boards..

great performance from kevin garnett who finally had a big game in the finals..

plus ray allen and the rest of the squad hitting three pointers..

it was a horrible massacre if u are a laker fan.. but a demolition if u are a celtic fan!!!

2nd quarter... celts outscored fakers... LA seems nervous and rattled in that stretch... the zen stuff did not work.

then they coasted the rest of the way, kg plays best if there is no pressure.

the bandwagon celtics fans also contributed. the laker fans dis appeared.

    biggest factor was that

the lakers lacked the intensity necessary for a game 6

the pressure got to them and the game was a blowout in favor of the celtics

The biggest factor was the Lakers have no defense whatsoever and the Celts took 'em to school. And that's putting it mildly;-)
