How did Adarius Bowman go undrafted and unsigned by any NFL team?

I'm a little surprised someone didn't take a flyer on him too. He would seem to be a perfect practice squad guy. That's how Rod Smith started out.

I like the favorable comparisons to Brandon Marshall and Marques Colston.

Sure, he had some growing up to do with the posession charge.

His eyesight has been an issue. He's had LASIK twice.

Maybe a tour in Canada is what he needs. If he can prove his value up there for a couple years, he could still make an NFL roster.

Bowman was once regarded as a potential first-round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, but a sub-4.7 40-yard dash time coupled with a an arrest for marijuana possession in April 2008 caused him to go undrafted.

Edit: This years draft the teams did something they rarely do, drafted players based on personality and extra circricular activities but with their performance being number 1. They also cannot be in trouble with the law. His marijuana problem killed his potential to be in the nfl.

I don't think Goodell could deal with another issue, even if those things are in the past. With spygate, pacman jones, michael vick, and all the other things he's had to deal with in the first few years, I think the teams looked at his potential but looked at his personality and the way the media blows things out of proportion and just figured he wasn't worth the risk. His combine didn't help him out either.
