I'm a DIE hard Eagles fan, and have been for over 20 years. I've lived in New England almost all my life, but was born in Philly, and that's where most of my family is. Other sports are cool (go Red Sox/Phillies and Celts!), but it's ALL about football. I've been through the Ty Detmer, Koy Detmer, Doug Peterson, Bubby Brister, Jim McMahon (yeah he played for us), Rodney Peete, and Randall Cunningham eras and have NEVER waivered. We've never won the bowl but when we do it will be all the sweeter. There are 2 kinds of football fans...Eagles fans and people who wish they had the balls to be.

  • Won't Umenyiora look GREAT in Eagles green?

  • Midgets beat Deadskins...SO WHAT?

    After last nights debacle there are a few New Jersey Midget fans still thinking their team has a chance to make it to the playoffs. There are fewer still who believe that after making the playoffs Steve Spagnolo will magically re-appear and the 07 magic will return. Just for humors sake, what do you think would happen if (HUGE IF) they make it to the playoffs. Here is a list of teams they'd have to face.

    Vikings

    Saints

    Eagles

    Arizona

    Green Bay

    Colts

    Chargers

    Bengals

    Patriots

    Dolphins

    Does ANYONE REALLY see any team out of those that they COULD beat??

  • Eagles @ Giants, who ya got?

    It's pretty much the season for the Giants, and it's a chance for the Eagles to remain tied for first if Dallas wins in San Diego, and in sole possession of first if they lose. Who wants it more and who do you think wins this one?

  • How will the NFC East pan out?

    Okay, the Redskins are a foregone conclusion, but what about the rest of the Beast? As always the East is the toughest division in football. Who do you think wins it all and what will their records be? If you don't know their schedules for the remainder of the year here they are:

    Redskins (3-9)

    @Oakland

    Giants

    Dallas

    @San Diego

    Dallas (8-4)

    San Diego

    @New Orleans

    @Washington

    Philadelphia

    NYG (7-5)

    Philadelphia

    @Washington

    Carolina

    @Minnesota

    Philadelphia (8-4)

    @NYG

    San Francisco

    Denver

    @Dallas

    Have fun with this question!!!

  • Can you believe Billichick?

    How arrogant and pompous can you be to go for it on 4th and 2 against and UNDEFEATED TEAM AT THE 28 YARD LINE ON THEIR OWN SIDE OF THE FIELD. Did he really think Manning wouldn't beat him? It just shows how disgustingly full of himself Billichick is and I'm SO happy they didn't get that perfect season. As a coach would ANY of you have gone for it considering the situation and the opponent? Rush, I'm laughing at your squad right now dog!!!

  • Why don't NFL officials get fined for making bad calls? BQ inside!?

    First and foremost I'd like to say this is NOT about the Eagles/Dallas game. We lost fair and square to a team that just wanted it more that day. That being said Mike Pereira, VP of NFL officiating had this to say about the spot on 4th and inches...

    "I think I'd move it," Pereira said. "There was a camera angle that showed exactly where the ball was when McNabb's elbow hit the ground. The Eagles logo at midfield provided a reference point. The spot where the ball was when McNabb's elbow touched the ground did not match the placement of the ball by the referees."

    http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/Story.asp?s...

    If this had been a major game where a trip to the playoffs was on the line shouldn't the refs be fined a large part of their salary for that game if they blow a call that determines the outcome of a game? Their job is to get it right, and especially with the advantage of all the replay angles if they still don't see the mistake should they not be punished for making the mistake and not doing their job correctly? I honestly believe this would help out on gameday when the ref goes under the hood. Instead of looking and thinking, "well, this is good enough, and I'm not getting punished for it anyway" they might put a little more effort into making sure the call is right. What's your opinion?

    BQ: What's the worst blown call you've seen against your team?

    Dallas

    @Chargers

    @Bears

    Redskins

    @Falcons

    @Giants

  • Tony Romo's heritage....?

    Is it fair to call him a Mexican?

    In an ESPN blog it says, 'part of his ethnicity is Hispanic. Even though Romo grew up in Wisconsin and doesn't speak much Spanish, his grandparents are natives of Mexico.'

    It gets more and more annoying everytime his Mex Ameri GROUPIE asks a question. So this is mine. Is he really considered Mexican if he barely knows his own language or heritage, and isn't it about time we stop adding things to American to try and separate ourselves? Plus Romo has proven nothing in the NFL and if I were Mexican I'd be going for Sanchez who has a much bigger upside as far as a future in the NFL.

  • How fast can Tom Brady run?

    I think we'll find out after the Saints destroy them and the Golden Boy is dipping and dodging reporters like Barry Sanders against the Bears. Does anyone actually think they stand a chance of winning this game?

    BQ: What will be the final score of the game?

  • Why isn't the superbowl played in cold weather states?

    If you look at it the most die-hard fans are from the north, particularly the Northeast. Philly, New York, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Washington, Cleveland, Cincinatti, Baltimore, etc etc have the most die-hard (no, not bandwagon, but die hard) fans in the NFL, but they make the fans travel to warm weather climates. On top of that, most of the competitive teams play in the cold weather states, and FOOTBALL IS PLAYED IN THE COLD WEATHER SEASONS. So why is it that the NFL feels compelled to either put the game inside or in warm weather climates? I truly believe that if you played the Super Bowl up north it would give the game a more realistic feel, and on top of that since almost all of the teams that actually play and win the superbowl are cold weather teams. 10 of the last 13 superbowl champions have been cold weather teams, and 8 of the last 13 superbowl losers have been from cold weather states. Don't you think it's about time they realize that the majority of the NFL's success is due to the Northern teams and give us some love with a COLD super bowl? I understand that the southern states are more tourist attractions and the superbowl just adds to that, but Philly, New York, and other northern cities are tourist spots as well, and I highly doubt their sales would drop. Additionally only the TRUE fans would go if it was in cold weather, which would again help with the image of football making it truly a fans' sport, not like baseball and basketball where most of the fans are just there to been seen and hopefully bump in to a celebrity. So what say you? Why no love for the northern fans who make this NFL legitamate?

  • Where you at Eagles fans?

    It kills me that before the loss there were all these Eagles fans on here. Now no one is on here, and the ones who are on here are all bitter. STOP BEING PUNKS. We lost to a really bad team due to a lack of preparation and pig-headedness. This game should serve notice to all these young guys on our team that you still have to play the game no matter how much you're supposed to win by. The other team is still a pro football team. They're still men and they still want to win. Just showing up doesn't work. Congrats to the Raider fans. I remember when the Eagles were horrible and every win felt like Christmas morning, so have fun with this one. November and December are the Eagles' months, so I think it was good to get that loss and wake them up. The last time we got a wake up game (the Ravens of last year) we all know what happened. So why is everyone hiding and angry? Where you at????

  • Shouldn't the Vikings play in an outdoor stadium?

    November and December is when all the best football is played, and the cold weather plays a major part in the playoffs. Cold weather teams traditionally do better in winter due to acclimating themselves to the inclimate weather. From a psychological standpoint wouldn't it make more sense to take advantage of the bone-chilling temperatures in Minnesota in the winter instead of taking refuge in a dome? I think teams would DREAD going there in the winter for a playoff game, therefore giving the Vikings a huge advantage right from the beginning. Doesn't it make sense for them to play in the open air and adjust their team accordingly? I know as an Eagles fan no warm weather team wants to come to Philly in December, or Green Bay, New Jersey (hah Midget fans), Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, or even New England. The cold weather teams have the advantage. Why doesn't Vikings ownership realize this?

  • If the NFL had a Mt. Rushmore, what 4 faces most deserve to be put on it?

    Someone posted this question earlier, and i thought it was a really good one, so yes, i am blatantly plagiarizing. It can be any player, coach, owner, or exec from any decade from the inception of the league til now. I have my own answers, but I'll post them later. Have fun!

  • Best prepared teams for the future?

    Which teams look like they have prepared themselves for future success, be it through the draft or through free agency? In other words which team has youth at multiple spots, stable coach(es), great front office, and veterans to teach the young players?

  • Patriots for another superbowl?

    Wow did they look great yesterday! Brady had some of that Brady magic again, the defense held the Ravens at bay all games, and they run the ball better than anyone in football. Best runningback in the league in Faulk, best qb in Brady, and best defense ever. Even better than the Bears 46 defense. If anyone is falling for this, you must work for the media.
