Do international ticket prices go down?
I am looking to buy a ticket fro Houston to Lima, Peru for 12/16/08 returning on 01/06/09.
Last year I bought a similar ticket in october for about $1200. I am checking for ticket prices now (June) and they are around $1000. I was wondering if internation ticket prices like this (high season) ever get reduced. For example, will it be better for me to buy it in august instead of june?
Are ticket prices ever predictable?

Most of the ticket prices go down early in the morning, and then climb up later in the day. I am not sure about the difference of prices between seasons, but I would imagine that the prices would go down in high season because more flights go there.
Have fun in Peru!

Airline ticket prices do fluctuate and sometimes airlines do run specials to certain destinations. If you buy the ticket now, there is a risk the price could drop but if you wait too long, the ticket price could go up or the flight can be sold out.
