Found 2 abandoned kittens-what to feed them?
I found two kittens, both look JUST abandoned, and healthy but one is smaller than the other. What can I feed them until I purchase kitten food? I found hot dogs (pork) is not good for them. Any household items?-No milk, I know that. Rice milk?
Oh sorry to be mis-leading. The kittens are old enough, and have been weened (spelling), I can tell that much. I did have ONE can of cat food that I fed them, and they ate it, but I ran out...I just had one can.

Go to the store and buy some kittens milk, get a kitten bottle.
COWS MILK CAN BE FATAL,AND CAN GIVE YOUR KITTEN DIHEREA!(Which is bad for a kitten)
DO NOT GIVE IT HUMAN FOOD,Cause it can get sick,
Plenty of cold water, and if the bigger kitten looks about 8 weeks, give it some kitten food(wet kitten food)(about 1/4 of the wet kitten food)
dry kitten food is like eating dry cereal all of your life.
DO ONT CHANGE THE FOOD AUTOMATICALY
It can get a tummy upset.
Also you can give it evaporated milk or goats milk,
if you cant go to the store right now but not forever.
I hope you are willing to keep them and not put them in
a shelter and let it never be adopted:(
GOOD LUCK!
Oh and some tips:
*if it throws up and poops check if there are worms..
if there are go to the vet and have it dewormed.
*if its nose is not wet dont worry,
sometimes it is not wet hen it is sleepy or is asleep.
but if its wide awake then go to the vet.
*Thats all

Cream is actually better than milk if you have any, but both will cause diarreah in kittens if given in too large of an amount. If they're old enough to eat try cooking some rice in chicken broth or oatmeal with a little milk for the moment. Oats and rice are often major components of kitty food. But are they old enough to eat yet? Or are they still needing all fluids? Of course goat milk is the best substitute for their mommies milk outside of replacement formula, if you have it, but I'm guessing you don't have any laying around, huh? Rice milk is better than cow's.
Addendum: Everyone keeps telling you to feed them meat (tuna/burger,) but if they are little they aren't going to be able to eat it very easily because it isn't soft enough.
Good luck!

They can safely eat small pieces of boiled poultry or cooked beef, more poultry than beef though. Fish is always good and tends to be softer than poultry so if you have any I suggest you start with that. Make sure it's small pieces and try to mash it a little with a fork. Low sodium broths are alright in a pinch, not too much though as the salt isn't the best thing for them.
Offer them water, of course, and keep them warm. If you have a heating pad or something similar make them up a box with that under half of it on low so they can decided how warm they want to be.
Good luck with them

If you warm the milk, and just give them a little mixed with canned tuna, or cooked hamburger meat; that should take care of them until you can get some kitten chow.

If they can and will eat solid food, tuna or cooked hamburger. Milk isn't bad for them, but not very cold milk.
