What breed do you think he is? -pic included-?

He's a papered purebred - what breed would you guess he is? (Just curious to see what people think :-))

Update:

Here's another photo of him, his legs look a bit longer in this one. Too bad the tree got in the way! http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c232/miata__x/IM...

I'm not sure of his exact height, he is about 15.3h though.

Yup, I will tell you what he is after :-)

Update 2:

Yes, he is above the bit. I wasn't asking for much in that ride :-)

Thanks for all the compliments! :)

I'll say saddlebred, since no one else has! Hard to really tell from the pictures, but the topline, sturdy legs and (in this view, anyway) larger head give me that impression.

He does, except for the tailset, remind me a lot of an old style Morgan I once knew - I'm not sure he was supposed to look like that though!

No offense, but it's practically impossible to tell anything other than his color and gender by those photos. He is built stocky and with substantial bone like a Morgan, but 15.3 is a big Morgan. He has a poofy forelock like I have seen on many warmbloods (I know, that is a ridiculous thing to use as a breed identifier) but he looks nothing like a warmblood. I give up!

Looks like a Morgan or Morab to me. Just a guess. BTW nice headset and good extension in the second photo even with the tree in the way.

    Dutch Warmblood?

If I had to guess I'd say either a QH or a QH cross with some kinda Draft.

Edit: Nice headset...I'd say he is deffinately "above the bit"!!!

My first thought was an Arabain.

Some Arabs are tall and heavier-boned (example-the horse in The Black Stallion movie is an arab named Cass Ole) and he reminds me of the heavier Arab horses.

    Hi There,

I'm going to have to guess that he is a hanovarian or a standardbred because we have a hanovarian at our barn and he has that kind of pointy but and also a standardbred.

Oh he's beautiful! I'm pretty sure he's a Dutch Warmblood, but my second guess would be a Morgan horse.

    Love him, he's gorgeous!!
