Windows Live Messenger?

I've been trying to sign in all night, but it keeps telling me they're unable to sign me in. When I go to troubleshoot the problem, it tells me that my "hosts file contains Windows Live Messenger related entries which may interfere with name resolution".

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Messenger but it still doesn't work.

The error code it's giving me is 80048820.

Does anyone have a clue what's going on or what I should do?

Well..check caps for wrong password first of all. But, if you made enemies, someone could have simply locked your MSN with a freezing tool, which is known as MSN Locker. Good luck, there isn't much you can do about that, but get that tool, and unlock yourself. But...yeah, I can't give that out, it's illegal. Anti-viruses, catch a worm/backdoor in it, simply because, it exploits an un-patchable hole. Good luck.
