Should I get a Sig 2269mm factory refurbished or Springfield XD9 tactical?
XD9mm tactical is $445 with 5 inch barrel.
Sig is 9mm and is $500
XD is lifetime warranty, Sig is 1 year. Cant decide for the life of me . Both feel good in my hand. Dont have the oppurtunity to shoot them though.

I like the XDs better than any other handgun on the market. I own a 4" 9mm and a Tactical .45.
The XD will have very little recoil in 9mm.
I would choose the XD. But this is just me.

They both have a great reputation, but I would lean toward the Sig. They have a longer standing as a high quality firearm. They are proven to be very accurate for stock service pistols. They are reliable, and have served the military and police for decades.
Also, they aren't plastic. Not that plastic is bad, but it simply doesn't FEEL the same in your hand. With the replaceable grips of a Sig 226, you can do a bit of customization.
I have both, and have over 5,000 rounds through my Sig 226 refurb. Not one failure. I shoot factory ammo - winchester white box - and clean it after each session of between 200 and 300 rounds.
XD doesn't get as much use. Maybe 1500 rounds so far. Early on got a misfeed, but it really was inside the 200 rounds that I consider break in period, so I discount that. Since then, cycling reliably and shooting well.
The biggest feature I like better about the Sig for shooting is the DA/SA trigger. After shot 1, or if you pull the hammer back, the trigger pull becomes shorter and lighter. Not too noticeable in a high stress environment, but in target practice you will see a difference in your accuracy and consistency. With the XD you are always double action.
Can't go wrong with either. This is like asking if you prefer a BMW or Mercedes. I go BMW!

If the Springfield is new, then you sure are getting a good deal on it! Take the Springfield. I love 'em, and I can guarantee few people puts more rounds through their pistolas than myself. I own a full size 9mm and .45ACP XD's. I also have a sub-compact .40 S&W XD and my newest addition the XD(M) also in .40 S&W. The XD(M) might just be my favortie "for the price" pistol, time will tell.
I can say that out of shooting many rounds out of all of these that I have only seen two malfunctions. My wife limpwristed a couple of shots in my full size 9mm within two magazines of each other. After the problem was noted and corrections made, I have yet to see another malfunction out of any of them. Anyone who experiences otherwise needs to take advantage of Springfield's lifetime waranty, because this is definitely not the norm.

XD is a fine gun, but the SIG is the best gun made in the world today, even if it's a slightly used trade in. SIG 226, easy choice.

go the sig 2269mm. the xd9 tactical is not as well made and tend to jam from time to time through cheap desighn.
