Why do I pee in two different directions?

I do this the majority of the day. I have one regular stream then a rogue stream that either hits my leg or goes all over the floor. I spend a lot of time cleaning up half of my urine off the floor.

You may have a septate opening in in your urethra. What this means is you may have a small peice of skin that divides the opening to your urethra in half, blocking part of the opening so your urine sprays in the other direction. Think of it as if you had a hose running, and you put your finger across the middle- the water sprays out in two opposite directions.

This can be corrected with MINOR surgery. Basically a small snip at the doctors office.

Come on people, we are not in junior high, so enough with the immature, crude sexual answers! And females might as not chime in at all on this, as it is a male issue. When your manhood has 'sat' in one position long enough, it's like when your mouth stays closed for an extended period of time, your lips tend to stick together when you start to open them again. Likewise, the urethra, when stuck in the 'closed' position will upon urination slowly open back up and whatever parts of it open first, that's where the urine exits first. You'll notice sometimes one of the 'stray' directions will move over toward the dominant stream and once the urethra is fully open, then one stream/direction will be used,

I used to have the same problem, and I have no idea what causes it. But it is common. The best solution I found, is to gently pull the hole in the end of your penis open when you pee....It should stop that rogue stream in it's tracks! When it happened to me the first time, one stream hit the toilet seat...and the other hit the floor.....need I say more...lol...what a mess that was!

It's possible that you could be urinating too hard, causing it to propell into two different streams. Seeing a doc. will help, but otherwise until you do see one, sit down to avoid a mess. Hope this helps.

don't know. go to a doctor about it. But if you want to avoid peeing on yourself, then you should try peeing sitting sown. Just tuck your "you know what " between your legs, and that way all of it will get in the bowl!!!

Its ok you are doing fine. People have had to put up with pretty bad bodily complaints.

I think it might be a nervous complaint. It will settle in time I think.
