Oh my god, that woman is hilarious! I love reading her column. She's got such a quirky writing style and comes up with the greatest photos. I love it when she lists, for example, a stallion you can buy for $1000, or breed to for $500. Must be a good'un! Or she had a photo of a horse that was supposedly a fabulous example of a cremello stallion and he had the UGLIEST roman nose I've ever seen on a horse...it was downright scary.

It makes me feel sorry for the backyard breeders that just don't have a clue what they should be looking for in a horse, much less a horse to breed!

I read Fuglyhorse fairly frequently. I appreciate her acerbic sense of humour, and really appreciate what she's attempting to do. However, I'm already really furious about the ridiculous ignorance and over-breeding that's going on, and sometimes reading the stuff on Fugly kind of puts me in a bad mood - kind of depressed.

I don't read it a whole lot, I just read it for the funniness. Even if I had a horse I wouldn't breed it just because I wanted a cute little animal... I completely agree with you!

I read the blog daily, Fugly is just hilarious! One day I wish to breed and used to know NOTHING about conformation. The blog has taught me SOOO much.

    What is Fugly Horse?

If you dont mind me asking. =)

Should be REQUIRED READING for 98% of horse owners or those who aspire to be. Too bad there are no standard optical tests for 'barn blindness' or i.q. tests for responsible behaviour once in posession of a horse.

Source(s): common sense, or is it now UNcommon sense...

I don't routinely look at it because the editor seemingly has "anger" issues....beyond the obvious...very negative individual, always on the rag. In the real world, I sincerely doubt we'll rid the world of back yard breeders...ain't gonna happen...you're messing with basic rights of citizens of this country.

The only hope is education with an unemotional eye to the future. Emotions only make a nut case of you and mess with logic. Guaranteed you'll shoot yourself in the foot....

Doubt me, watch the "thumbs" on this post and which way they're pointed.

A while ago I saw it linked on several questions (on YA, Horses) and became addicted. :)

I read it every day, or whenever there is a new post. :)

I LOVE FHOTD!!!!!!! My only complaint is that she doesn't post hourly rather than daily.... She needs to write a book=)
