At what age do babies start talking?
I have a 7 month ago daughter and last month she had a 'talkative' day and said 'pa-pa' and 'wow-wow' (that's the dog!) on the same day. Then a couple of weeks ago she said 'ma-ma' (which puts me well down the list lol) but since then hasn't said anything.
I wondered if this was normal and what age do babies start to say things a lot?
Also I speak to my daughter in English, my husband in Spanish and at the nursery they speak in Catalan to her, will this slow her development down? Has anyone any experience on speaking several languages with their baby and do you have any advice?

Dont worry about the two languages. As she learns to speak she will seperate them gramatically as well and as long as enough people talk to her in both languages she will be fluent in both. My former boss did this with his kids and they spoke English and spanish like natives ya could say.
They take as long as they want to speak. I didnt speak properly until I was three, but my son could speak properly in long grammatically correct sentences at 18 months. My grandaughter is one and says about a dozen things, but only if she feels like it. But she also babbles a lot.

Sorry - no idea about the age thing - but I have met a 2 year old that was baby fluent in Swedish, French & English. At that age they find it really easy to differentiate and not confuse the sounds.
I also know a couple who allowed their child to watch Japanese children's shows on TV (he used to get up at 5.00 every morning!!) - HE was quite able to hold (slightly odd) conversation with Japanese people and his English was not diminished at all!

baby start talking in fluency when his age is approximately 2.5 or 3 years.
this is not a big issue that different people talk different languages when she start talking she speak your language.
GOD bless you and your family.
