"to live without dictation and controls" What does that mean. We are a nation of laws. Many are good, some are stupid and there are some that are just plain bad. But the Law is Law. The whole "without dictation and controls" thing is sophmoric claptrap.

Dictation and controls:

Murder - no

Rape - no

Theft - no

Being a jerk - permitted

Assault and battery - no

Speaking your own language - permitted and supported, especially if it is spanish

Fraud - no

Illegal immigration - wink

Voting as you please - permitted

Habeous Corpus - mandatory, you got it.

and on and on.

If you have a specific point to make: put it up. Otherwise, it appears to me you haven't given much thought to the doggerel you quote.
