Ruger 10/22 carbine?

When i took the gun apart after shooting it for the first time i noticed the finish in the inside of the of the receiver is flaking off. could this potentially be dangerous?

can i sandblast the rest of the finish off? What Can i do

Update:

Thanks live wire, i was concerned because large flakes were falling off and i was worried if one of these flakes was to lodge in the barrel with a round there could be a potential backfire issue

I have a lot of experiace with modding these guns and no it's not dangerous and if it'd make you feel better you can just take some sand paper to it and get the rest off or like you said sand blast it but make sure you use stuff for aluminum.

Nope. Takes a lot bigger obstruction than flaking finish to create a dangerous situation.
