A Twighlight Zone Hockey Question....?

Bettman suddenly went on a huge power trip and snatched all of the power over the league away from the owners! His first edict as "Grand Poohbah" of the NHL is that every player revert back to the team that drafted them. All undrafted players will be redistributed through a lottery and draft.

Which teams look the best? Why?

The Pittsburgh Penguins would have a solid (albeit aging) squad: Jaromir Jagr, Michal Rosival, Martin Straka, Markus Naslund just to name a few.

By far, the New York Islanders would have a sick line-up. Wade Redden and Eric Brewer would join Bryan McCabe and Zedeno Chara in forming one of the better bluelines in the league. Goaltending would be a dogfight between Rick Dipietro and Roberto Luongo. That offense...Todd Bertuzzi taking passes from Tim Connolly (yep, not much on that end). All good teams need a solid defensive core and good goaltending. The reformatted Isles would have that.

It's funny you should put it that way, Bluto. Because, as a Christian who grew up in the 60s, I sometimes feel the exact same way when I encounter a group of atheists, as I did back when I first came on line into an internet "chat room" labeled "Evolution is a fact." Someone asked me if I were a Christian, and I said "yes"...and it became completely unreal from then on. This was the first hint I had that the world had shifted, and Christians were no longer considered "the good guys", or that there were actually whole groups of people who not only did not believe in God, but actually held animosity toward those who did. I didn't understand it then, and, I have to admit, that bunch truly did make me cry. That was several years ago. Since then, I have come to understand that many folks have been severely damaged by what they perceive to be "Christianity", sometimes directly, through one or more people calling themselves "Christian". I have seen how the "false prophets" and "false Christs" have harmed the ancient faith...and once again, I am in tears. That is why I keep trying to drive home the point...Jesus is what Christianity is truly all about. Whether you believe in Him or not, you have to admit, His teachings were sound, and if people would truly follow them, they would be gentler, kinder, more patient, generous...and how much happier they would be!!

I have to go with Ottawa because not only will they still have players like, Spezza, Alfredsson, Fisher, Meszaros, and Phillips. They will also be getting back guys like Havlat, Hossa, and Demitra.

The Isles would look ok, I mean Pilsbury decimated that teams young players.
