Have you ever meditated to the point you separate mind from body?
I've heard several people mention this - sounds crazy however a few of these people are reputable in my life - or at least I thought they were. Prefer non-drug induced experience - if possible.
I'm very skeptical -
if you have experienced this - please explain what you did to initiate this experience and how you think it happened - thanks
If you find this interesting - click star bottom left - tks

Yes but what is actually happening is that activity in the parietal lobe is slowing or stopping.
The parietal lobe is responsible for what is called body maps. This lets you know where your body parts are so that you don't have to for instance watch your feet to walk. Stop activity in your parietal lobe and you lose the sense of where your body is.
It took me around 9 years of practicing meditation to start reaching this point. I've been practicing around 20 years now and have reached this point many time. While I can understand why people ascribed some mystical explanation to it before we knew what was really happening it makes little sense now to "leaving your body".
It's very very cool but not mystical.

I am not familiar with eastern/new age meditation, mantras, or stuff like that, but yes. You know that feeling you get when you are really captured by a good book, and you feel as though you are there, in the story, detached from the real world? That is what I would compare it to. No odd or otherworldly sensations, but being so totally wrapped up in where my soul is going that I forget where my body is. This happens when I am meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary, or praying.

Astral Projection - happens with a great deal of concentration. My father has experienced this more than I - I believe I have but can't be sure. He and some friends decided to go to the movies - astrally. He got to the movie theater, looked around, and didn't see anyone so he left. When he woke up he friends asked him ' why didn't you go in?'. They saw him there, even though they were all there through astral projection. And that is all I know right now. I have books - but don't want to get them right now. If you want to talk more about it, feel free to contact me.

Stories like that are nothing more than poetic gibberish. Analyse what they say and you eventually realise that none of it makes real sense.

That happens only at the time of death.
Unless that are preforming some witchy ritual thing......it is not from God that I am sure of. Do not follow that type of meditation.
Satan comes to you in many forms.
