You have to let him play out the rest of the year. He inherited this roster, you can't keep firing managers because the team is winning. Their problems are much deeper.

They can't "right" this ship either. They need to torpedo it, and build another one. To fix the entire organization you're looking at 3-4 years in last place while a new team is built in the minors. Thats what they need to fix now.

Heck no! He's had about three days at manager. Give him the rest of the year. Let him play it out. So far he looks like the fire-breathing Piniella type manager they need. If he's able to get them to a winning record at the end of the season, keep him. If not, go after someone like Bobby Valentine after the season, oh yeah. Minaya better be on the hot seat. He put together these guys that just can't find a way to win.

I doubt they'll fire him. The way he has been talking about Randolph is absolutely classless. (Especially since he was the bench coach - guess he lost his ability to speak until he was named manager) But, given the way that the Mets dismissed Randolph, I don't think they would recognize class anyway.

Look for a huge housecleaning at the end of the season - GM down to bat boy.
