Why do some Christians fear the ecumenical movement and the whole idea of "one world Church"?
Jesus desired that there be only one Church. The divisions are due to Satan. So why is the ecumenical movement seen as evil by some?

It is kind of sad that you think the only people that make a positive contribution or make this world better are atheists. How did people become soooo ignorant to think that religion is the cause of all the ills of the world? If religion never existed, if it disappeared tomorrow a lot of atheists would be in for a world of shock of how similar everything would still be. The wars would have all been fought. Conflict would still exist. Atheists dont make everything better anymore than any other specific group. Humans are humans and human nature remains regardless of belief systems.

I "fear" ecumenism only when it seeks to water down the teachings of the Catholic faith in an attempt to win converts.
Or worse, when its proponents claim conversion isn't even necessary any more!
Dialogue is great, but the Catholic faith in its entirety must be defended and the conditions for conversion and salvation preserved intact.
May we all pray for the day when "there shall be one fold and one Shepherd" as Jesus promised.

First, you're incorrect to assume that the divisions are only due to Satan. There are divisions that come by the will of men too. Pride being one of them. People don't like to admit that sometimes they are wrong, thus churches split, different denominations are born etc...and yes, some are due to Satan.
However, because of these splits and differences in doctrine (teaching of the Scriptures) there undoubtedly is divison. Paul spoke a lot about these things to Timothy. The first poritions of the book of Galatians is about people preaching a "different gospel". We even read in the book of Acts that there were people who taught that a person had to believe in Christ and be circumcised to be saved (just for an example). Paul and Barnabas disputed with them greatly about this matter and even went to the other apostles about this in Jerusalem. There is an obligation to hold to what is right and reject what is false, that is why Christians reject a "one world chrurch".

Because some "christian" churches, mainly the fundies (okay, not all fundie groups), belong to Satan. Many fundies are agents of Satan with a mission to spread lies and malign the true Church. Satan does not want unity.

God determines the parameters and members of his Church, not men.
And a church determined by men will enforce it's beliefs in an Inquisitional manner to maintain unity.

It is not what the Bible say that there is only one church. It means there is only one body of Jesus Christ which means there is only one true church.
Ecumenical movement is the idea of the Roman Catholic which is not a true church. Those who will join them are not true church themselves.
So this group will become a very powerful anti Christ but I
don't fear them because who is within is greater than they which is Jesus Christ.
