30G ipod - SDRAM Full Test??

My son has a 30G ipod. I think one of his little brothers was messing with it and now I don't know what to do. The top of the screen says SDRAM Full Test. In the middle of the screen it says:

Please Wait....

Run: BL on

Pass: BL blink

Fail: BL off

Reset to continue.

It's blinking on & off, but I don't know what to do to make it stop. I tried to hold down the middle button and the menu button - like when it freezes, but nothing happens when I do that.

HELP!

Update:

I held the middle button and the menu button down together for at least a minute & it's still blinking!

    hold center and middle button if that doesnt work get the cord and plug it into the computer it should change if not then put it back in his room like nothing happened. or blame it on the kid

    hold the center and menu buttons and it will reset.
