how do I clean my dell 2400 of all programs?

Got some weird things happening and tried all matianence so I wish to erase all and reload

Update:

when I go to controll panel and open it internet explorer closes

    I would highly recommend not deleting programs as you can mess up the registry and completely screw up your computer. Just reinstall the OS or try using the recovery disc to do a repair.

    Insert your disk to reinstall your OS, reboot.

    well .. Start > control panel > Add or remove programs ... this is for windows XP

    windows Vista should be smiler ... good luck man
