Once you get him low on health(about a quarter of his life) only shoot him when he runs at you. Once you empty his life bar, he'll go down(obviously) at this point, you will need to equip the syringe that Naomi gave you and unequip any offensive weapons (guns, knives; etc) run behind him and perform the CQC hold techinque as he is getting up. Hit the triangle button when the game prompts you to, and the fight is over! Make sure Vamp is not on Metal Gear Rex or any of the rubble in the area when you empty his life bar or he WILL regenerate! Other than that, the fight is damn easy... Have fun!

Grab Vamp using CQC and then use the needle Naomi gave you. (Equip it and press the triangle.)
The best way to get a hold of him is to knock him down and before he gets back up run behind him. As he is rising, press and hold R1 with only the Stun Knife equipped. This will probably take you a few tries - I never get it the first time.
